This blog shows how to reset the Photos app on iOS 18. If you prefer the old layout, follow these steps.
Steps to Reset the Photos App:
Open the Photos app.
Scroll down and tap Customize and Reorder.
Remove categories you don’t want.
Keep only Media Types and Utilities for the old setup.
Close the settings and return to the Photos app.
Now, you will only see Photo Library, Media Types, and Utilities. Extra sections like these are gone:
- Recent Days
- People & Pets
- Pinned Collections
- Memories
- Featured Photos
- Albums
- Wallpapers
